Friend of the Sea (FOS) certified

NORSAN fish oil and cod oil is FOS certified and is obtained from fish originating from waters certified as sustainable by FOS. With the Friend of the Sea (FOS) certification, our contribution to protecting the environment and especially the world's oceans is confirmed by a renowned objective testing organization.

Friend of the Sea is an internationally respected nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the global marine environment. FOS leads important certification projects that verify the sustainability of fisheries and omega-3 fish oil products.

Kölner Liste®

The Kölner Liste® contains dietary supplements with minimal doping risk. NORSAN products are also on the Kölner List.

FOS certified

IFOS certification (The International Fish Oil Standards Program) is an independent testing and certification program for fish oils. IFOS sets the highest standards worldwide for purity, effectiveness and freshness. Omega-3 supplements are evaluated based on 5 criteria. Our NORSAN fish oils fully meet all of these criteria. This is why IFOS has awarded the highest seal of approval to all our liquid fish oils and capsules.

Environmental Certificate

Every production process and service has an impact on the environment: energy, raw materials and water are consumed, and CO2 and other exhaust gases and waste are generated as unwanted by-products. Der Grüne Punkt determines the environmental balance by calculating the energy and raw material consumption and the amount of emissions released during the individual recycling processes.
