The olive oil used in our Total oil, Vegan oil and KID's oil is produced by Oro del Desierto. The olive farmer Rafael and his family work according to strict ecological guidelines. His excellent olive oil regularly wins top awards. We are proud to use this esteemed olive oil in our products. Only the very best is good enough.

The olive groves are located in a small valley in Tabernas (Almería) in southern Spain, near Málaga, where there are more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and the dry, stable climate leads to this special product. Its geographical location is also unique, as it is irrigated directly from the mountain range (Sierra Nevada).

We regularly visit Rafael at his olive grove. Not only because it is so beautiful there, but also because we think that a personal and good relationship is good for high and constant quality.

"Oro del Desierto" is not only organic and rich in polyphenols, but also tastes great - with a touch of pepper, like all good olive oils.

The olives are pressed immediately after harvest, usually within 2 hours.

The olive oil was specially selected for its high polyphenol content (> 250 mg/kg). Polyphenols from olives are important antioxidants and protect the delicate omega-3 fatty acids during their journey through our bodies. They ensure that the omega-3 fatty acids arrive undamaged at the places where they are needed.

Health benefits of NORSAN olive oil confirmed by scientific studies

Olive oil plays an important role in nutritional philosophies. Several scientific studies have confirmed the health benefits of regular olive oil intake. And yet, not all olive oils are the same.

A high-quality olive oil is characterized by many factors.
First, organic farming guarantees a management system aimed at obtaining food of the highest quality, respecting the environment and preserving the fertility of the soil, without using chemical products. Moreover, the time between harvesting and pressing must be short, at best within the same day. A short time between harvesting and pressing also guarantees a higher content of polyphenols (antioxidants). The more polyphenols there are in the oil, the better the oil helps protect against free radicals.

Last but not least, of course, a good olive oil should taste good.
