High-quality cod liver oil from Arctic waters
Norsan Omega-3 Arktis oil provides a natural and sustainable source of omega-3 fatty acids. This cod liver oil, sourced from the nutrient-rich Arctic Ocean, is good for the heart, vision and brain. A daily dose of 10 ml, about a tablespoon, provides 2,000 mg of omega-3, rich in DHA.
The cod liver oil is caught directly off the Norwegian coast and processed within hours, ensuring high freshness and a pleasant taste. Moreover, the oil is free of harmful substances, PCBs and heavy metals, thanks to a modern purification process that preserves the natural fatty acid structure.
Durability and quality in every bottle
Norsan Omega-3 Arktis oil is obtained from wild, sustainably caught cod, certified by Friends of the Sea (FOS) and IFOS with 5 stars. These certifications guarantee that fishing practices are energy-efficient and have minimal impact on the ecosystem.
The oil contains more than 50 different fatty acids and offers a similar health effect as the consumption of fresh fish. With a price of €7.00/100 ml and quantity discounts starting from three bottles, this omega-3 oil is not only affordable but also of high quality. Thanks to the natural lemon oil, Norsan Arktis oil has a pleasant taste, perfect for taking daily or adding to a smoothie or salad.
2,000 mg of omega-3 in one tablespoon
Norsan Omega-3 Arktis oil(200 ml) is a pure natural cod liver oil from sustainable arctic fisheries. A daily dose (10 ml, about 1 tablespoon) provides 2,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA).
Cod liver oil from the Arctic Ocean
The nutrient-rich cold Arctic Ocean, where the cod grows up and lives, provides a unique and high quality. The natural Omega-3 Arctic cod oil comes from wild catch. The fishing area is directly off the Norwegian coast. The caught fish is processed within hours, which ensures a high "freshness" of the oil.
Norsan omega-3 Arktis oil - Natural cod liver oil
Our natural cod oil from Northern Norway consists of a fatty acid complex of more than 50 fatty acids. This natural fatty acid structure of the fish is preserved during the extraction and purification process. The consumption of the unconcentrated natural Omega-3 oil has a similar positive effect as the consumption of fish.
Pure and clean
In a modern facility, the oil is effectively cleaned for contaminants, PCBs and heavy metals. The cleaning process protects the fatty acid structure so that the finished oil has high freshness. This freshness translates into a pleasant taste and an oil that is well tolerated. The total oxidation value (totox) of the oil is between 3 and 5. The low value is a confirmation of the quality of the raw materials and the refining process. If you want to convince yourself of the freshness and good quality, smell and taste the oil. Smell and taste are good indicators of the quality of omega-3 oils - just like any other food.

Why flaxseed oil alone is not enough?
EPA and DHA are present in marine sources such as fish, algae and krill. Most omega-3 vegetable oils, such as linseed oil and chia oils, do only contain the vegetable omega-3 fatty acid ALA (alpha linolenic acid) and no EPA and DHA.
For example, of all vegetable oils, flaxseed oil contains particularly high amounts of ALA. Nuts and chia seeds also contain ALA. It is important to note that ALA has a limited ability to be converted into the important marine omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. The conversion factor is only 0.5-10% and is highly dependent on weight, metabolism and other factors. Scientific studies broadly conclude that intake of ALA alone, cannot regulate EPA and DHA deficiency.
