Oro del Desierto - The yellow gold from southern Spain

The olive oil of the producer Oro del Desierto is a cold-pressed olive oil from strictly organic cultivation. This olive oil has won many awards for its high quality and is considered one of the best olive oils worldwide. Its taste is slightly peppery due to its high polyphenol content. Our recommendation is to use this olive oil in a salad or something similar - it is almost a waste to heat this wonderful product.

On our recipe page you will find additional great ideas on how to creatively incorporate our Omega-3 oils and olive oil into your daily diet.

"Oro del Desierto" comes from a family farm in Spain, where Rafael and his family pay attention to organic cultivation and sustainability throughout the olive oil production process. The olive groves are picturesquely located in a small area in Tabernas (Almería) in southern Spain, near Málaga, where there are more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year.

The award-winning olive oil was selected for its high polyphenol content and is used in some of our Omega-3 products (Total oil, Vegan oil and KIDS oil). We are proud to combine this olive oil with fish oil and algae oil.

Polyphenols from olives act as important antioxidants and protect sensitive Omega-3 fatty acids during their journey through our bodies. They protect against oxidation by oxygen and ensure freshness. Moreover, they ensure that the Omega-3 fatty acids arrive intact at the places where they are needed.

At Rafael's olive grove, the olives are harvested and taken directly to the press, so they are generally pressed within a maximum of 2 hours. Rafael also guarantees that the pressing always takes place within 4 hours. Regular visits to Rafael at his olive grove are a matter of course for us. Not only because it is beautiful there, but because we think that a personal and good relationship is advantageous for ensuring high and constant quality.
